Pitse Lodge is situated in the malaria free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve approx 3 hours drive to the north of Johannesburg. Here you will find Africa’s Big Five: Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhino, as well as a wide variety of other game species and birdlife attracted to its rolling plains.

Situated on the edge of a vast open grassland, the lodge has far reaching views. Relax on the deck and admire the constantly changing vista of passing wildlife around the Lodge. Witness lion and elephant or herds of wildebeest and antelope coming to drink at the Lodge water hole.

Pitse Lodge is an Exclusive Use lodge for your own personal and private use. This means that you and your family or friends will have no other guests during your stay. Game drives can, therefore, be conducted at your leisure and to suit your own timetable.   Choose a breathtaking sunrise safari to witness the break of day or a leisurely sundowner as the bush prepares for nightfall. Alternatively, make a day of it and go out with a picnic lunch on board!  And why not finish off the day with a candle-lit dinner around the firepit in the boma?
